Mary J. Blige – The Breakthrough

The Breakthrough is the seventh studio album by American R&B-soul singer Mary J. Blige, released on December 20, 2005. The album becoming her highest first week sales of her career, and the second-highest first-week sales by a female R&B artist, only behind Alicia Keys’ As I Am. The album is certified three-time Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. In just two weeks alone the album sold 1,000,000 copies around the world. Eventually selling 7,000,000 worldwide.

Busta Rhymes – The Big Bang

The Big Bang album was released on June 13, 2006. The album became Busta’s first album to debut at #1 on the charts with over 209,000 copies sold during the first week off release. On August 4, 2006 the album was certified gold for shipments of over 500,000 units. The album has sold 613,000 copies as of November 22nd, 2008. The album became Busta Rhymes’ highest charting album in the UK, debuting on the UK albums chart at #19.
